Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Email address — collected during login via one-time password (OTP). Used for authentication and transactional emails only.
  • First and last name — collected when you create an account. Used to identify you in the product and to personalise the emails we send you.
  • Newsletter email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the address you provide and use it to send marketing communications. This is a separate purpose from the transactional emails above, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Telegram ID — collected when you link your Telegram account. Used to deliver signal alerts.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, interaction patterns. Collected via analytics tools.
  • Payment data — processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
  • Trade journal entries — if you use the Journal, we store the trades you record: ticker, side (long or short), quantity, entry and exit prices, entry and exit timestamps, optional stop-loss and take-profit levels, and any notes you write. You may enter them one at a time or import them from a broker export file.

Broker export files are not kept. When you import trades from a CSV or statement file, the file is read in memory, the individual trades are extracted, and the file itself is discarded. We do not store the uploaded file, and we do not keep any column of it that is not part of the trade fields listed above. Nothing in the file that identifies your broker account — account numbers, balances, commissions, or any other column — is retained.

Your trades are yours. We use your journal entries for one purpose: to show you your own journal and the market context we attach to it. We do not share them with anyone, we do not sell them, we do not use them to train models, we do not publish them in aggregate or anonymised form, and no other user of the product can see them. They are not used for any purpose other than your own journal.

Deletion. You can delete any individual trade, or every trade at once, from the Journal at any time, and that deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also delete your whole account yourself, from My Account in your dashboard: that cancels any active subscription straight away, removes you from every paid Telegram channel, and deletes your journal with it. You do not need to contact us to do either. What we keep afterwards, and why, is listed in section 5.

Optional profile information. During account registration we may ask for optional details such as your country. Providing them is entirely voluntary; you can create and use an account without them, and leaving them blank does not restrict access to any feature.

Purpose. We use any optional details only in aggregate — to understand the composition of our user base and to prioritise product development. We do not use them to build individual profiles about you, to make automated decisions, or to vary pricing.

Legal basis. Where the GDPR applies, we process these optional details on the basis of your consent, given by voluntarily providing them. You may ask us to delete them at any time by contacting support@tradeainews.com, and we will remove them from your account record.

Retention. Optional details are kept while your account is active and are removed when your account is deleted or on request. Aggregate statistics that do not identify you may be retained.

Sharing. We do not sell these details and do not share them with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Cookies

  • Advertising cookies — set by the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel when those are enabled, to measure advertising performance. You can disable these via your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from your dashboard, the deletion is immediate, not scheduled: your email address, name, Telegram ID, subscription record, journal, watchlist, portfolio, API keys, webhooks and notification settings are removed from our database in a single operation, and if any part of it fails, none of it is applied.

What survives your deletion, and why. We would rather tell you than let you find out. Four things outlive the account:

  • Payment records. We keep the transaction records Stripe sent us, and the Stripe customer and subscription references for your account, so that a payment can still be accounted for after the account is gone. We never hold card numbers. Some of those raw Stripe records contain the email address the payment was made with: we cannot rewrite an accounting record and have it still be one. We keep them for as long as the law requires and we do not use them for anything else.
  • Your address on our suppression list. If you have unsubscribed or an email to you has bounced, we keep that one record so we never write to you again. Deleting it would let your address re-enter a list and start receiving email — the opposite of what you asked for.
  • Product analytics, without you attached. Aggregate usage records stay, but the link to your account is cut at the moment of deletion: the rows remain, your identity does not.
  • Whatever Stripe keeps. Stripe is our payment processor and holds its own records of your transactions under its own legal obligations. We cancel your subscription there, but we cannot delete Stripe's books. Their retention is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. When you start a checkout we also attach our own first-party analytics ID for your browser to that Stripe record, so we can tell which visit led to the purchase; it identifies a browser, not a person, and it stays in Stripe's books like the rest of the transaction.

Everything else goes. If you want a copy of your data before you delete it, ask us at support@tradeainews.com first — once the account is gone we cannot recover it.

Journal entries are never retained in anonymised or aggregate form after deletion, whether you delete a single trade, the whole journal, or the entire account. Uploaded broker files are never retained at all — they are discarded as soon as the trades are extracted from them.
