AI Stock Signal Tools —
what to look for
What Actually Separates These Tools
On the third of those, we found the public dark pool data was not timely enough to do what the marketing around it implies, said so, and changed what we claim.
Four Questions to Ask Any Vendor
We think these questions are more useful than any ranking, partly because we have failed some of them ourselves and changed the product as a result. The directional one we tested and published the failure.
Where TradeAI News Fits
Event detection across named feeds, classified catalyst types, a 0–100 significance score, and delivery to the dashboard, Telegram and a REST API. Free tier with no card; $29/month for uncapped events and Gamma Exposure; $59/month adds Volume Surge; $99/month adds API access.
Strongest fit if your workflow is catalyst-driven and your bottleneck is finding out fast. Weakest fit if you want the decision made for you.
Where It Falls Short
Frequently Asked Questions
What should a beginner start with?
Any tool with a free tier you can verify before paying, ours included. Judge the format on real events for a week before you spend anything. What you are testing is whether the notifications are things you would actually have acted on, and whether they arrived early enough to matter.
Which tool has the best options flow?
It depends what you mean by best. Dedicated options-analytics platforms go deeper on raw flow than we do — more granular filtering, more historical exploration. We integrate options context into a scored event rather than presenting flow as a standalone dataset. They are different products, and the right one depends on whether you want to explore data or receive classified events.
Are AI-detected events profitable?
Not on their own, and any vendor who answers this differently is selling you something. Detection tells you what happened and how unusual it is. Every decision after that — whether to act, in what size, with what exit — is yours, and carries risk including the loss of your capital.
What is the cheapest way to try this category?
A free tier. We have one and it requires no card, though it is capped and truncated. Some tools in this category do not offer one at all, which means you cannot verify any of their claims before paying.
Do I need more than one tool?
Usually not more than one detection tool — running two competing event feeds mostly produces duplicate notifications and decision paralysis. Pairing one detection tool with a charting platform is a common and sensible combination, since they solve different problems.
Which is the most accurate?
Unanswerable as asked, because no two vendors define accuracy the same way. One counts a move in either direction, another counts direction, another counts a move of any size within a week. Question 2 in the list above is the way through it: ask what the number means before comparing numbers.
Why does this guide not rank the tools?
Because we are one of them. A ranking written by a participant with itself at the top is an advertisement wearing a guide’s clothing. We would rather give you the criteria and the questions, and let you run them against us as well as everyone else.
