Choosing an AI market-intelligence tool —
what to look for
What Actually Separates These Tools
On the third of those, we found the public off-exchange trade reports were not timely enough to do what the marketing around it implies, said so, and changed what we claim.
Four Questions to Ask Any Vendor
We think these questions are more useful than any ranking, partly because we have failed some of them ourselves and changed the product as a result. The directional one we tested and published the failure.
Where TradeAI News Fits
A market-context platform: Estimated Gamma Exposure, insider activity, unusual volume, short interest & FTD, analyst ratings, market events and a trade journal with market context, on the dashboard and through a REST API. Free plan with no card; Pricing lists what each plan includes.
Strongest fit if you want the structure behind a move — positioning, insiders, volume, short interest, events — in one place. Weakest fit if you want the decision made for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should a beginner start with?
Any tool with a free tier you can verify before paying, ours included. Judge the format on real events for a week before you spend anything. What you are testing is whether the data is relevant to how you trade, and whether the vendor publishes how long its alerts take, measured.
Which tool goes deepest on options data?
It depends what you need. Dedicated options-analytics platforms go deeper on individual trades. We show the options market through Estimated Gamma Exposure — walls, gamma flip and open interest by strike — computed from open interest; we do not ingest trade-level options prints. They are different products, and the right one depends on what you want to look at.
Will this make my trading profitable?
Not on its own, and any vendor who answers this differently is selling you something. Detection tells you what happened and how unusual it is. Every decision after that — whether to act, in what size, with what exit — is yours, and carries risk including the loss of your capital.
What is the cheapest way to try this category?
A free tier. We have one and it requires no card, though it is capped and truncated. Some tools in this category do not offer one at all, which means you cannot verify any of their claims before paying.
Do I need more than one tool?
Usually not more than one market-intelligence platform — pairing it with a charting tool is the common combination, since they solve different problems.
Which is the most accurate?
Unanswerable as asked, because no two vendors define accuracy the same way. One counts a move in either direction, another counts direction, another counts a move of any size within a week. Question 2 in the list above is the way through it: ask what the number means before comparing numbers.
Why does this guide not rank the tools?
Because we are one of them. A ranking written by a participant with itself at the top is an advertisement wearing a guide’s clothing. We would rather give you the criteria and the questions, and let you run them against us as well as everyone else.
